About Cathy

I was born in 1971.

I live in Boston.

I grew up in Cherry Hill, New Jersey, after a stint in Houston.

I have two degrees in English, from Yale and the University of Texas. As a result, I work as a bookkeeper.

Coffee is my favorite time of day.

I live in a limited-equity co-op. A limited-equity co-op is a form of affordable housing that involves endless meetings.

I have three cats and a darling, nervous dog.

My ex and I were the 190th couple to receive a Massachusetts equal marriage license (at 3 AM in Cambridge City Hall).

I used to use Twitter.

I have five tattoos, if you count the “debit” and “credit” on my back as two.

I sometimes make designs.

I was a 2010 finalist for a Mass Cultural Council fellowship. The cat in the picture is Coco.

I have published two stories in The Santa Monica Review.
