The gardens in winter

I have expressed elsewhere (and you can read in Melly Mockingbird) my conviction that the Fenway Victory Gardens in summer are the most beautiful place on earth. These photographs by my sweetie, Kyle Katz, show that they can be exquisite in winter too.

What I most admire about Kyle’s photos is his eye for beauty in the evanescent, decayed, forgotten and miniscule. (To really show off his work, I’d need to post another whole entry on bricks.) Here are the gardens moving into autumn:
